Our offering
We connect you with locals, professionals or occasional hobbyists that can offer you exciting experiences from all over Greece.
Localture is an online platform for travellers, who seek to enjoy outstanding culinary, touring, guiding and other various activities through physical or electronic means (Virtual Experiences). By making a reservation through the platform, you enter into a direct contract with the local with whom you have made a reservation purchasing his/her service. From the point at which you make the reservation, Localture acts solely as an intermediary between you and the host but is not a party to any kind of agreement between you and the host or is liable for any failure and any kind of damages that may arise or not out of this relationship whatsoever.

We are a private company registered in Greece. Our offices are located in Athens.
Applicability of T&C’s
When you visit our website and/or use our services you agree with these T&C’s. You must read these T&C’s before using our website and/or services. Use of our website and/or services, regardless of whether you are a website visitor, a traveller or a local, constitutes an agreement to all terms and conditions and you warrant that you understand, agree to and accept them in total. Please note that T&Cs may be amended from time to time.

We respect your privacy. We are committed to protect the information you share with us. We believe that you have the right to know our practices regarding the information we collect when you visit our website or use our services. For more info click here.
Scope
Localture (from here on referred to as "the Company" or "we", “us" and "our") provides this Privacy Policy to inform you of our policies and procedures regarding how we collect and process the personal data that we receive from users of Localture (the "Site"), our services for mobile devices regardless of how you use or access them. Personal data is any information that directly or indirectly identifies you. ‘Directly’ could for example be through a name. ‘Indirectly’ refers to the situation where you can still be identified without your name through or by combining other information. An example of ‘indirectly’ is an IP-address.
When you register with us through the Site and when you choose to serve as a host or book as a traveller, or when you wish to contact another visitor via our Site, we will ask you for personal data that can identify you and be used to contact you ("Identity Information"). Identity Information includes, but is not limited to; your name, phone number, email address, home address, but does not include your credit card number or banking information.
In regard to this policy, the terms "using" and "processing" information in this Privacy Policy include but are not limited to; the use of cookies; and the collection, storing, transfer, evaluation, deletion, disclosure, management, handling, modifying and use of personal data.
This Privacy Policy applies only to personal data that you provide to us via the Site. We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect any changes to our services. We will do this by amending the Privacy Policy on the Site. The changes will take effect automatically, as soon as they are posted on the Site. In addition, we will notify all users by email if any material changes are made to the Privacy Policy.
Processing of personal data
We may process your personal data for the following purposes.
Providing our services: Localture might process your personal data to provide its services. For example, personal data is processed in order to set up your Localture account, allow you to book an event through, and submit reviews to the Site, App or third-party widgets. For this purpose, Localture processes the following personal data: name, phone number, email address, home address, IP address, Localture Account profile data. Localture is allowed to process personal data for this purpose because it is necessary for the execution of our service to the customers.
Customer service: Localture processes personal data to handle questions and requests. This processing is necessary to provide our services. For this purpose, Localture processes your name and email address and booking information. Localture is allowed to process personal data for this purpose because it is necessary for the legitimate interest of the Company or a third party), essentially to enable Localture to adequately respond to questions and requests.
(Direct) marketing: The Company processes personal data for (direct) marketing purposes. This means that Localture can contact customers to draw attention to our products. For this purpose, we process the following personal data: website behaviour, IP address, email address, post address, phone number, online identifiers, booking information, location and account information. Localture is allowed to process personal data for this purpose when individuals have given consent or when Localture has a legitimate interest to process the personal data. Depending on the ground of processing (legitimate interest versus consent), you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time or have the right to object to the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes at any time. The withdrawal or exercise of your right of objection shall not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to the withdrawal or exercise of the right of objection.
Categories of recipients
It may be necessary for Localture to disclose your personal data whether by law, possibly in the context of litigation, legal process and/or by request from public or governmental authorities within or outside of your country of residence. We may also disclose your personal information if we determine that disclosure is necessary or appropriate for purposes of law enforcement, national security or to prevent or stop any activity we may consider to be, or to pose a risk of being, illegal, unethical or legally actionable.
In order to provide and improve our services, we will share information with third parties when needed. If you make a booking, Localture will share the following information about you with the host which are your first name, telephone No and email address. This information will enable the host to decide whether to confirm or reject the booking. When a booking is confirmed, we will also share your telephone number and email with the host. Under no circumstance is your billing information ever shared with a host.
We may employ third party companies and individuals to help improve or facilitate our service, to provide the service on our behalf, to perform Platform-related services, including but not limited to: maintenance services, fraud detection services, database management, web analytics, monitoring and evaluation services. These third parties may have access to your personal information. If they do, your information is still protected by the terms of our Privacy Policy.

Your rights and how to exercise them
We respect the exercise of the rights you have in relation to the personal data we process or use. You can request access to or a copy of your personal data collected and processed by us. You may also request the rectification and removal of personal data or the restriction of the processing of your personal data, if there is a reason for doing so. You also have the right to data portability. You also have the right to object to a processing on grounds relating to your particular situation or against the processing of your personal data for direct marketing purposes. To exercise these rights, please contact our Privacy team via info@localture.com. To prevent misuse, we may ask you to identify yourself. The law determines whether you can exercise a certain right in a given situation. You should therefore bear in mind that we are not always able to execute your right at full.
Security
Localture is very concerned with safeguarding your information. We take the appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard your personal data. The Site uses a reliable SSL Certificate to make sure your personal data does not fall into the wrong hands. In the event of any breach of security Localture will make any legally required disclosures concerning the breach and the confidentiality, or integrity of your unencrypted electronically stored "personal data" to you via email or via a posting on the Site and Application without unreasonable delay in as far as it is consistent with any legitimate needs of law enforcement and any measures required to determine the scope of the breach and to safeguard the integrity of data.
Retention periods
We do not keep your personal data longer than necessary for the purpose of the processing.

Reservations
You make a reservation on our website, we handle the rest. When a reservation is made by you on our website, we deliver the reservation to the respective host and he/she checks availability. A reservation is only valid when it is confirmed by the platform through email.
Payments
You pay the full amount beforehand. When making a reservation, you have to pay the full amount in advance. In this case you pay us the full amount stated on the website which is paid to the host after the reserved event has taken place, while deducting the localture fee payable by the host. As a guest no additional payments are needed; when the reservation is confirmed by us, all payments are done.
Cancellations
We wouldn’t wish it to anybody, but what if you find yourself in a situation of cancelling an amazing localture experience? Please read below for a full overview of our cancellation policy.
For Guests:
Booking Requests rejected/withdrawn/expired before confirmation: all bookings need to be confirmed within 48 hours. If your booking request is rejected or not confirmed within 48 hours by the host, or when you withdraw the request before confirmation, you are not charged.
Booking cancelled by the guest:
• More than 10 days before the experience date, you will be refunded 85% of the total price.
• From 4-10 days before the experience date, you will be refunded 35% of the total price.
• Less than 4 days before the experience date, the host will be fully paid and you don’t receive a refund.
Booking cancelled by the host: 100% refund goes back to you!
For Hosts:
Booking Requests rejected/withdrawn/expired before confirmation: All bookings must be confirmed within 48 hours. If you reject or don’t confirm within this time range, the booking request expires, and no payment will be made to you. This also counts when the traveller withdraws the booking request before you confirm it. So, make sure you click on that “Confirm” button the soonest possible!
Booking cancelled by the traveller:
• More than 10 days (except it is otherwise stated in the experience) before the experience date: you won't receive any payment.
• From 4-10 days (except it is otherwise stated in the experience) before the experience date, you will be paid 50% of the total price.
• Less than 4 days (except it is otherwise stated in the experience) before the experience date, you receive benefit from the booking guarantee! Localture will pay you as the event has been done
Booking cancelled by the host: When you cancel a confirmed booking, you won't receive any payment. More important is however the fact that your confirmation rate will be negatively influenced. Are you sure you want to do this? It will surely decrease your chance to receive future bookings.
Applicable taxes
It’s a host’s sole responsibility to determine which taxes are applicable and required to comply with the applicable local tax law and pay any corresponding taxes. These taxes can include, but are not limited to, value added taxes, surcharges, sales taxes, personal or corporate income taxes imposed or any other taxes which are levied upon reservations made through our website or the payment thereof. Hosts represent and warrant that they will pay such taxes in time and in compliance with the applicable tax law. All prices shown in localture website include any of the above taxes, where applicable, as well as our platform fee.
Proprietary Material
All texts, graphics, editorial content, data, formatting, designs, HTML, look and feel, photographs, music, sounds, images, software, videos, designs, typefaces and other content (collectively "Proprietary Material") that you see or read on this website, are owned by us or are used with the owner’s permission. This Proprietary Material is protected in all forms, media and technologies. You may not copy, download, use redesign, reconfigure, or retransmit anything from this website without our prior written permission.
Quality of our services
We do our utmost best to verify the quality of the events hosted by our locals by checking all events/experiences prior to go live date. After that, it is up to hosts to offer the best available service and take all appropriate measures to protect their equipment as well as Guests safety.
In the event of a misleading representation or misconduct on our website or in the framework of the events held by hosts through our website and/or services, we may decide in our sole discretion, to credit the traveller with a refund up to the reservation amount. No action of us may be construed as accepting any liability other than as mentioned herein.
When rendering our service, the information we disclose is based on the information provided to us by the hosts. Although we will use reasonable skill and care in performing our service and verify the experiences, we cannot guarantee that all information is accurate, complete and/or correct. Each host remains responsible at all times for the accuracy, completeness and correctness of the (descriptive) information displayed on our platform.
Warranties
We don’t give any warranties. We do not warrant that our website and/or our services will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may correct, modify, amend, enhance, improve and make any other changes to our website and our services at any time or discontinue displaying or providing any content or features without a notice to you, being a website visitor, a traveler or a host.
Disclaimer
We do our very best to make sure all the information we provide you with is 100% correct. However, sometimes errors are made. We hereby disclaim all warranties and conditions with regard to the use of our website and/or services, including, but not limited to, the availability, reliability, or quality of our website and services, the events distributed through us, including the nature and quality of the events, and is not and shall not be responsible for any error, fault or mistake of any and all content and information received through us, including by hosts or travellers. We do not endorse any entity, product or service mentioned in any user generated content available on our website.
Liability agreement
Localture responsibility is limited to facilitating the availability of our website and services. The participation in any of the events hosted by the locals is at your own risk. In no event shall we be liable for any indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages of any kind, whether is an action of contract, negligence or other tortious actions resulting from or arising out of participation in any of the events hosted by the hosts.
Special requirements for Hosts
Those hosts who offer any experience or participation in any event / experience for which a special license or authorization of any kind is required under the Law, must acquire and / or renew it before registering it on the Company's platform. The Company has no responsibility or obligation whatsoever to hosts and / or travelers if the above condition is not met as specifically defined by the Law National or EU level, apart from the information provided in this paragraph.
All experiences created by hosts must not include any word, sentence, host name, company name, address, telephone,email, area or any other reference contact details that indicate the experience location/host.
Issues and Complaints
We'll assist you in case of issues or complaints where possible.
In case of a complaint about the platform, application or services, please contact us at info@localture.com in order to resolve the problem. In case of a complaint about an event, you agree to contact Localture within 3 days after the complaint has arisen and you agree to cooperate and assist us in good faith and provide any relevant information and take such actions as may be reasonably requested by Localture . As a host, you agree that in case of a no show the guest will be refunded, and you won't receive payment. As a guest, you understand that in case of misbehaviour during the event caused by you, may lead the host to corresponding actions according to his/her judgement. In case of any damage claims or other complaints and dispute related to the event, the Company’s sole and only responsibility is to mediate and support in finding a reasonable solution between the two parties (traveller and host) and has no other obligation or responsibility whatsoever.
To the extent permitted by law, these T&Cs and the provision of our services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Greek law and all dispute arising out of these T&Cs and our services shall exclusively be summited to the competent court in Greece.
